Inflation Across A Basket of Goods

The Office for National Statistics compiles not just the data about the total consumer prices index but, in doing so, also gathers information about individual goods and service price increases. Here is a breakdown showing how a range of everyday items have shot up over the past year. (In each case, the figure is the percentage change in the average price over the 12 months to July 2022):
